General Description:
Interns work side by side with me managing my marketing accounts and servicing clients. There will be at least one seminar a week dedicated to classroom learning, and the rest will be shadowing and out on the field. There will be coaching and teaching along the way and during work. Though depending on your skills, at first, you will be assisting me; however, my goal is to train you into a marketing strategist like me.
This position will touch on Sales, Marketing, & Advertising. Though 90% of the responsibilities will be focused on the Marketing & Advertising side.

Respect. Throughout my experience as an intern and even before, I heard all the stereotypical stories of being an intern. “You are at the very bottom of the totem pole” or “all you will be doing is going on coffee runs,” and my personal favorite is” you will never be heard, just seen.” At RMS, nothing would be further from the truth. As an intern at RMS, I was able to see the human relations ideology at work. Dennison made me feel like I mattered to the company and that my ideas were valuable.
Accountability may be new to college students—realizing that there is a massive transition from school to professional life. Dennison was instrumental in my development. Dennison made manageable deadlines or allowed me the freedom to do things my way—all while refocusing me when I was moving in another direction.

Practically was my vast takeaway from this internship. I followed an E.D.G.E methodology when interning here. This stands for Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable. With that methodology, both my and Dennison’s time was not wasted. Efficiency, while delivering a quality service, became the name of the game. Ideas that made work easy and efficient were big for me because they allowed for a considerable accumulation of knowledge in a limited amount of time. This was a hands-on experience that I would not have gotten anywhere else.
The knowledge I acquired included sales funnels, how to make a sale, closing a sale, content creation, graphic design, social media management, social media marketing, social media advertising, event planning, and much more.
My time at Rivera Marketing Strategies was unforgettable, fulfilling, and worthwhile. I am beyond grateful for the professional relationship I was able to make with Dennison Rivera and the friendship I have created on top of that. This soccer star came to study at Carroll College all the way from Spain. In 2020, Javier started working with RMS and saw firsthand how Marketing Consultation works.
“My first internship in the US could not have been better thanks to Dennison Rivera and Rivera Marketing Strategies. He went above and beyond my expectations in terms of support and made me his apprentice, at a moment where I was at my lowest, far from home and very lonely in town as winter break had come by. Dennison made sure that I always felt appreciated as an asset for his business, but more importantly as a person and a friend. As a matter of fact, we are good friends and remained in contact with each other.
Before I even had the chance to attend a marketing-specialized class in college, working with Dennison gave me the opportunity to interact with real-life situations.
